Entergy aerial inspection completed approximately 8:50 AM CST, Feb. 6, 2008. Four 500kv structures down and three more that are significantly damaged. All affected structures are single leg guyed type structures. Terrain in the location will provide significant access challenge. Replacement structures are available. At this very preliminary stage, it appears to be a near two week restoration project. Entergy has crews in route from N. Mississippi, N. Louisiana, and Texas; one off-system crew is available in north Arkansas and Entergy Arkansas-based crews. As aerial inspection continues, the remaining line segments we will be considered or possible resource needs. Safety focus remains high. Additional information will be available as patrols progress.
