Background: A reporter inquired about power outages in three neighboring cities, citing calls from residents within those areas. Requested information in time for the noon news program.

Response: Checked with the DOC/Transmission and responded to the reporter that at 9:06 a.m., Entergy lost a transmission line serving those areas, leaving some 4,276 customers without power. All but 110 were restored by 10:51 a.m. At this time, an exact cause has not been determined for the outage; however, a crew is on site to investigate.
