New Substation in Mississippi
Entergy has filed a petition for a certificate of public convenience and necessity for a new substation and transmission line in the city of Madison. The petition has been delivered to the mayor of Madison. The new substation will be located on Madison Avenue, just west of St. Catherine's Village and Grandview Boulevard. Load growth in the area has been significant over the past several years and a new substation is needed to serve the additional load. The estimated projected in-service date for the new facility is 2010.
