Manager, Transmission Services assures that customer requests
for transmission interconnection, wholesale distribution, LBA, and MDMA
services are addressed in a timely manner, administers agreements for these
services with interconnected customers, and works with other Entergy work
groups to meet the business needs of customers and the Entergy Transmission
Business group. Manager, Transmission Services also administers and interprets
Entergy’s interconnection policies and procedures relative to specific
agreements.
o
Analyst, Sr. Staff is responsible for leading and/or
participating on cross-functional teams which design or improve Transmission
Settlement processes in accordance with the provisions of MISO’s Open Access
Transmission, Energy, and Operating Reserve Markets Tariff, evaluation and
interpretation of emerging regulatory guidelines, responding to data requests
from both internal departments as well as FERC, NERC, and state regulatory
bodies, developing and obtaining execution of contracts to assure that the
needs of the Transmission Business are satisfied, facilitating customer funding
agreements when appropriate and interfacing with cross-functional groups and/or
transmission customers in issue resolution. Provide regulatory support for
State and Federal regulatory commissions.
o
Analyst, Sr Lead supports the administrative functions of transmission settlements in
accordance with the provisions of MISO’s Open Access Transmission Tariff and
related reporting and document processing through the use of various business
systems, review of contracts and billing determinants to ensure billing
accuracy, and calculation and issuance of refunds as required by FERC approved
rate filings. Provide regulatory support for State and Federal regulatory
commissions.
o
Analyst III supports the administrative functions of

Transmission System, preparation and administration of contracts and metering
issues for interconnected customers.
o
Sr. Wholesale Executive serves as the
point of contact for interconnected wholesale customers for coordination of
maintenance activities and generator interconnections with Entergy's
Transmission System, provides technical assistance and engineering support to
wholesale customers, including the development and presentation of options for
transmission solutions, reviews, prepares and administers contracts to assure
that the needs of the Transmission Business are satisfied and facilitates
wholesale customer funding agreements when appropriate.

Director, Transmission Control Center - North (TCC-N) is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the high voltage electric
transmission system. Provide managerial
and technical leadership to Operations Control Room staff to ensure the safe
and reliable operation of the electric transmission system. Ensure employee conformance with established
policies, procedures and standards and proper training of real time operating
staff. Represent the operations group in
a variety of internal and external forums and working groups.
o
Asst-Administrative III provides office services functions: typing, filing, telephone reception,
faxing, mail distribution, time reporting, statistical data analysis, and
various daily, weekly and monthly report preparations, updating through the use
of various business systems, and performing some basic PC workstation
administration activities including loading and updating software.
o
Superintendent, Security assures that safe practices are
followed in the operation of the transmission network, to coordinate
transmission facility outages, to supervise circuit loading, to respond to
requests for transmission access to the Entergy grid, to maintain system
integrity, and to maintain operating voltage levels.
§ System Operator, Lead This
position works in a 24/7 rotating shift and operates under the direction of the
TCC-N or TCC-S Superintendent and/or Director. This position monitors and
controls the transmission line and substation facilities within a geographical
area. Duties include planning, writing and execution of transmission and
substation switching orders that are issued to field personnel. The orders
include the switching of all substation equipment and protective relay schemes
including voltages ranging from 69 kV to 500 kV. Responsibilities include
monitoring and analyzing substation equipment alarms via SCADA system,
isolating transmission problems through emergency switching and sectionalizing,
dispatching company personnel for corrective action, control of area wide
transmission voltage, executing load shed and black start procedures, maintaining
records and logs, and generating reports.

System Operator Trainee - This position works in a 40 hour per week day shift and
operates at the specific direction of a NERC-certified System Operator I
through Senior
Operator. This position monitors and controls the transmission line and
substation facilities within a geographical area. Duties include planning,
writing and execution of transmission and substation switching orders that are
issued to field personnel. The orders include the switching of all substation
equipment and protective relay schemes including voltages ranging from 69 kV to
500 kV. Responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing substation equipment
alarms via SCADA system, isolating transmission problems through emergency
switching and sectionalizing, dispatching company personnel for corrective
action, control of area wide transmission voltage, executing load shed and
black start procedures, maintaining records and logs, and generating reports.

including voltages ranging from 69 kV to 500 kV. Responsibilities include
monitoring and analyzing substation equipment alarms via SCADA system,
isolating transmission problems through emergency switching and sectionalizing,
dispatching company personnel for corrective action, control of area wide
transmission voltage, executing load shed and black start procedures,
maintaining records and logs, and generating reports.

Student Intern is to perform cleanup and update work with switching, alarm and
device numbering databases. Will review SCADANET/EGB/electronic onelines for human performance traps, develop and enhance
outage notification scripts, explore automated check-in opportunities and setup
check-in desks. Intern will also research outage management programs and
help solidify the associate business case, research VSAT/TSAT opportunities,
and help stand up operations human performance and operating experience
programs.

Manager, Transmission Operational Planning manages the workgroup
responsible for providing technical support to real-time operations staff at
the Transmission Control Centers (TCCs). This support is accomplished
through the preparation of reliability powerflow models and corresponding
real-time, next-day and forward looking analyses, coordination of planned
transmission outages, voltage stability analysis, development of operating
guides and local area security analysis. The Manager, Transmission
Operational Planning is responsible for directing the developing and
maintenance of all applications used by the Transmission Operational Planning
(TOP) group to conduct studies and oversees the development of daily and
monthly powerflow models. The Manager, Transmission Operational Planning
provides input to regulatory/compliance filings in support of new business
practices for Transmission Operations and ensures that the workgroup processes
are in compliance with all FERC, NERC, and SERC standards/requirements. The
Manager, Transmission Operational Planning ensures coordination amongst several
business units to control project costs and coordination. The Manager,
Transmission Operational Planning also works closely with the Reliability
Coordination and Tariff Administration personnel to ensure reliable system
operations.
o
Supv, Outage Coordination
manages
the workgroup responsible for (i) coordinating,
scheduling and studying transmission and substation facility outages on the
Entergy transmission system to support safe, reliable and efficient operation,
and (ii) providing support to real-time operations staff at Entergy’s
transmission operations centers. Supervisor of Outage Coordination is also
responsible for closely working with other business units (including Power
Generation and Nuclear) to proactively eliminate outage conflicts. They
also play a part in controlling customer costs and earning a fair share of
return by identifying windows of opportunity for transmission capital projects
to meet their in-service date obligations.

Engineer Sr. / Engineer I / Engineer II / Engineer III (Trans) provides
technical support to the Transmission Control Centers by load flow analysis in
support of outage scheduling, developing operating guidelines and conducting
local area security analysis.
·
Coord-Transmission Outage
Sr. manages the outage schedule of transmission and
substation facilities within the TOC control area so as to avoid outages that
adversely affect customer load, transmission system reliability and
transactions across the grid. Assists
the Lead Dispatcher to identify available switchmen and verifying proper
switching orders, and makes operational recommendations based on input from
Transmission Operational Planning, the SOC, retail customers, transmission line
and substation maintenance personnel, project management personnel, and
external utilities.
o
Engineer Sr. / Engineer I (Trans) / Engineer II (Trans) / Engineer
III (Trans) / Sr Engineer (Trans) provides technical support to the
Transmission Control Centers by building operational planning models,
conducting same-day and next-day system security analysis, providing backup
load flow analysis for the outage coordinators in support of outage scheduling,
and voltage stability analysis. Transmission Operational Planning
engineers represent Entergy at various SERC/NERC workgroups or committees.
o
Student Intern will assist Transmission Operations
Planning in model development. The intern will review all the PI tags that
Transmission Operations Planning uses to pull in real time data to build the
Daily and Next Day cases. The intern will also review the GMS and TMS displays,
check the system one-lines and make sure the Transmission Operations Planning
models match.

switching and sectionalizing, dispatching company personnel for corrective

Policy Consultant, Trans Tech provides
support for implementing the FERC Open Access Transmission Tariff and OASIS, to
comply with FERC orders and NERC policies, to provide customer access to OASIS,
to provide consultancy regarding provisions in the pre-888 order contracts, and
interface with the Transmission Regulatory Support department to implement FERC
orders and update the Business Practices.
o
Analyst, Sr. Lead is responsible for leading and/or
participating on cross-functional teams which design or improve transmission
processes, driving the modeling of those processes, evaluation and
interpretation of emerging regulatory guidelines, developing business
requirements for changes to existing automated systems or for new systems,
performing customer acceptance testing on newly delivered software, responding
to data requests from internal departments as well as those from FERC, NERC,
and state regulatory bodies, and interfacing with cross-functional groups
and/or transmission customers in issue resolution
o
System Analyst III supports the Operations Engineering
staff to ensure the safe and reliable operations of the electric transmission
system. Works to develop procedures and
training material as needed for training of the operations engineering
staff. Works to ensure employee
compliance with NERC policies. Assists
in the preparation of responses to data requests from both
internal departments as well as FERC, NERC, and state regulatory bodies.
o
Engineer, Staff (Trans) is responsible for leading and/or
participating on cross-functional teams which design or improve Operations

.Manager, Training develops and implements the overall
training program for Transmission Operations Department, including performing
training, testing, qualification and certification of control room and
operations personnel. Develops and
supports simulator program and provides support for real-time operator tools,
regulatory support, and support with writing and maintaining real-time
operations procedures.
o
Senior Engineer (Trans) supports and/or leads projects related
to the technical needs of the Manager/Supervisor and his/her
organization. Provides coordination of capital projects, develops
computer system applications, provides employee training and development
programs, analyzes system performance and calculates operational settings, and
supports the simulator program. Provides support for training and
real-time operations. Additional responsibilities include:
analyzing system conditions/procedures and recommend improvements/corrections,
and measures system performance and benchmarks that performance against others.
o
Specialist, System Operations is
responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of the NERC
Certification and Systematic Approach to Training programs for TCC operating personnel.
Some responsibilities include developing and administering training to TCC
Operators though the Training Department’s Systematic Approach to Training,
coordinating with Operations Management to develop a Training Plan each year
and to maintain operating procedures, working with Engineers on projects that
impact Operator responsibilities, tasks and tools used by the Training
Department and the Operators, administering Operator Qualifications, modifying
Tasks as needed, ensuring PER-005 compliance, participating in NERC, SERC, and
MISO committees that are focused on training, and serve as a subject matter
expert on all operating procedures, tools, and responsibilities.
o
Technician A Sr. - Assists in maintaining the training
schedule for the Transmission Control Center Operators, maintaining the
Learning Management System (LMS), maintaining training records and performs
administrative tasks to assist the training manager and other team members.
o
Student, Intern - Duties include: Working on Procedure and
Task updates, assisting in maintaining the DTS simulator, assisting real-time
operations by performing data analysis, assisting in records management
activities, and assisting in the development and support of operator training,
tools and processes.
