2/14: Starting March 1, WALC will be allowing Monthly firm purchases to redirect on the OASIS.

2/13: WALC will be participating on the three day scheduling experiment on 2/23 and 2/24. On 2/23 you may purchase only one day in advance. On 2/24 you may purchase three days in advance.

2/8: WALC has placed in the proposed business practice a NITS application. This application will be implemented on 2/23/06.

12/22: WALC has created a new folder containing proposed business practices. Once these practices have been implemented they will be moved to the business practice folder.

7/8: WALC has posted an Annulment Policy under it's business practices folder. The policy will be implemented August 15, 2005. Customers who have requested a transaction to be annulled within the last 90 days will receive an email notifying them about the policy.

7/8: For security purposes WALC now requires a confidential agreement for Transmission maps. To start the process of obtaining a transmission map please contact Amanda Briones at 602-605-2519

3/31:Attention customers, midnight on April 1, 2005, an ancillary service charge for reactive supply and voltage control will be added to the WALC transmission rate. The rate will be $0.0639/MWHR. Please view our tariff under schedule 2 for further information.

2/4:1/25/2005: OATT Revision & Large Generator Interconnection Procedures/Agreement: The Western Area Power Administration (Western) has filed a revised Open Access Transmission Service Tariff (Tariff) with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Western’s existing Tariff was approved by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Commission) on April 12, 2002. Western updated certain Tariff provisions, adopted the principal features of the Commission’s Standard Large Generator Interconnection Procedures (LGIP) and Standard Large Generator Interconnection Agreement (LGIA) consistent with applicable law, and made additional changes to further Western’s mission and transmission marketing efforts. The revised Tariff, a summary of changes made to its existing Tariff, and information about the tariff revision process is posted on Western’s Web site at http://www.wapa.gov/oatt.htm

1/20: WALC has posted long term transmission for sale on the OASIS. Please review the Long Term Business Practices located in the Business Practice folder prior to requesting long term transmission.
