Effective May 1, 2013, TVA will implement Intra-Hour Scheduling on the quarter hours in support of Variable Energy Resources, as outlined in FERC Order 764. See posted Business Practice Intra-Hour Scheduling.
TVA will only accommodate requests for new e-Tags or for e-Tag adjustments that are scheduled to begin or end on the quarter hours (e.g., 00:00, 00:15, 00:30, and 00:45). Reliability Requests—Emergency Tags, Curtailments, and Reloads—will be treated as exceptions and handled as practicable within the bounds of reliable system operations.

On March 31, 2013, TVA will make effective revised versions of its Transmission Reliability Margin Implementation Document (TRMID), Available Transfer Capability Implementation Document (ATCID), and Capacity Benefit Margin Implementation Document (CBMID).
The revisions continue to meet the requirements of NERC reliability standards MOD-004-1, MOD-008-1, and MOD-030-2. The TRMID, ATCID, and CBMID may be found in the ATC Information Link folder on the left. The CBMID also may be found in the CBM folder.

New TVA Transmission Service Guidelines and Transmission Service Rates
Effective December 1, 2012
TVA has approved a new edition of the TVA Transmission Service Guidelines, which establishes the terms and conditions for transmission service, along with the associated rates for transmission and ancillary services. The revised Guidelines and associated rates can be viewed and downloaded via the following links:

On August 28, 2012, from 05:15 p.m. CPT to 06:45 p.m. CPT, OATi will be moving server locations. OASIS will not be available during the outage period. TVA customers may now begin using the new address: http://www.oasis.oati.com. The new address is currently active, but both addresses will run in parallel until the August 28 cutover.

TVA is now posting its Forecasted and Actual Load data on the System Data Summary page on OASIS. To view this information, select under the Attribute pull-down menu NATIVE FORECASTED LOAD or NATIVE ACTUAL LOAD. Under the Element pull-down menu, select TVA LOAD.

The connection between EEI and TVA has been extended covering the period from June 1, 2012 through September 30, 2012.
Transmission service should be submitted as normal.

Effective October 1,
2011, TVA will implement new Facility Connection Requirements.
The TVA facility connection requirements for generation, transmission, and end-user facilities have been updated to meet the requirements of applicable NERC standards, specifically FAC-002-1, R1.1.4, effective on October 1, 2011. Updated facility connection requirements documents may be found in the Transmission Planning--Facility Connection Requirements folder on the left.

Effective July 1,
2011, the TVA-Duke interface will be split into two tie points, TVA-DUK and TVA-TAP,
to accommodate a new TSP in the TVA Balancing Area.
The Tapoco Division of Alcoa
Power Generating Inc., has filed for approval with FERC and plans to register with
NERC as a Transmission Service Provider. Tapoco
will operate under the acronym of TAP. TAP will be a POR and POD on the
TVA OASIS system and the TSP between TVA and DUK for the Santeetlah-Robbinsville
tie point. Under normal conditions each interface will have a Path Cap
Scheduling Limit of 335 MWs.

Effective March 31, 2011, TVA will implement a new Transmission Reliability Margin Implementation Document (TRMID) and a new Available Transfer Capability Implementation Document (ATCID).
The new TRMID, applicable to the Transmission Operators within TVA, was developed to meet the requirements of applicable NERC MOD standards, specifically MOD-008-1, effective on April 1, 2011. The ATCID, applicable to the Transmission Operators and the Transmission Service Provider within TVA, was developed to meet the requirements of MOD-030-2, effective on April 1, 2011. Both documents may be found in the ATC Information Link folder on the left.

Effective March 31, 2011, TVA will implement a new Capacity Benefit Margin Implementation Document (CBMID).
This document is applicable to the NERC functional entities within TVA that perform the roles of Load-Serving Entity, Resource Planner, Transmission Service Provider, Transmission Planner, and Balancing Authority. The CBMID (found in the CBM folder on the left) is to be compliant with the applicable NERC MOD standards, specifically MOD-004-1, effective on April 1, 2011.

Effective December 1, 2010, TVA will implement the following changes:
Interface of MISO: TVA will create one interface with MISO by combining the paths of AMMO, AMIL, and BREC. TSRs submitted for the time period of 12/01/2010 and beyond should have MISO as the POR/POD. TSRs submitted for the time period prior to 12/01/2010 should continue to have the current PORs/PODs of AMMO, AMIL, and BREC. Tags/Schedules submitted for the time period of 12/01/2010 and beyond should have MISO as the POR/POD on the TVA system. Tags/Schedules submitted prior to 12/01/2010 should continue to have the current PORs/PODs of AMMO, AMIL, and BREC.
Expanded ATC posting period: TVA will post at minimum 18 months of monthly ATC
values, 4 weeks of weekly ATC values, 30 days of daily ATC values, and 168 hours of
hourly ATC values. Firm TSRs will be accepted for the following periods next: 18 months for monthly, 3 weeks for weekly, and 14 days for daily service increments. Non-Firm TSRs will be accepted for the following durations: 2 months for monthly, 2 weeks for weekly, and 2 days for daily service increments.
